Allpack are delighted to offically open their new flagship HQ today in Cannock, Staffordshire. Special guests were Amanda Milling, Conservative MP for Cannock Chase, and Jon Robinson, Development Director at Barberry Group.
Amanda says, "I am absolutely thrilled to have another great business here in Cannock Chase. In the six years I have been a member of parliament, I have seen how this development has grown and grown with investment from more and more businesses. This is so key to the area because business is all about creating jobs and that is so important."
Allpack have seen enormous growth over the past eighteen months with packaging being in high demand due to the rise in ecommerce and online shopping. The new 14,000 m2 facility will provide a great platform for further expansion into the retail sector and with a brand new innovation laboratory, will enable increased investment into environmentally sustainable packaging solutions.
"This building took 34 weeks to build. It is 15 metres high and uses some of the latest technology to reduce occupational costs while fulfilling environmental, social and corporate government ratings in measuring sustainability and social impact of buildings on the community. It really is future-proof."
Provision has been made for electric vehicle charging for both cars and trucks, and there are energy efficient installations throughout – including LED lighting and space & water heating alongside intelligent controls to manage and minimise energy usage and energy loss throughout the building’s lifecycle.
"This superb new site will help us to continue our expansion and put Allpack at the forefront of innovative sustainable packaging solutions for the benfit of all of our stakeholders."
