After a year of planning and preparation, Allpack has been working towards acquiring Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) accreditation covering Food Safety, Packaging Materials, Storage and Distribution. BRCGS accreditation is an industry-acknowledged set of standards that provide a framework to manage product safety, integrity, legality and quality, and the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing and packing industry.
Allpack’s determination and efforts have paid off with Allpack’s National Distribution Centre, Somerville House, obtaining an A-Rated facility status. This recently acquired accreditation enhances Allpack’s quality assurance to customers that our warehoused products comply with stringent food storage and distribution packaging standards and guidelines.
Acquiring BRCGS certification for Allpack started back in August 2020 when they moved into a purpose-built National Distribution Centre (NDC), helping to expand its warehousing footprint, the scope of its business portfolio activities and the range of products and services offered to customers.
“Attaining the A-Rated BRC level for Food Packaging Storage & Distribution is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication, from all levels of the business. This newly acquired accreditation enhances Allpack’s quality assurance to customers that our warehoused products comply with stringent food storage and distribution packaging standards and guidelines” explained George Clarke, Allpack’s Managing Director. He went on to add “Since moving into our new NDC, Somerville House in Cannock, the Allpack Team have been working hard to maintain our existing range of accreditations and certifications, ensuring ISO 9001 Quality Management & 14001 Environmental Management certifications were maintained and where possible improved, which it has been with the A-Rated BRC accreditation.”
The decision to construct a purpose-built packaging warehouse facility, incorporating a state-of-the-art logistical hub, modern offices and spacious transportation areas, was to not only increase Allpack’s ability to hold an increased and diverse inventory of in-stock and customer-held products, that are ready for next-day delivery on its own fleet of tracked vehicles but to allow Allpack to expand into adjacent packaging sectors, that would have otherwise not been possible with the previous warehousing facilities and operations.
